This August 3rd-4th I will be attempting to run one mile every hour for 24 consecutive hours in the Anytime Fitness 24 in 24 Challenge.
I was lucky enough to be a part of the 24 in 24 in 2016 when there were only 50 runners. It was one of the most physically difficult things I have ever done and also one of the most emotionally rewarding. It is hard to complain about 24 hours of hard work when you hear what the children we run for endure and how strong they are. I am looking forward to giving it a go again this year.
On September 12th 2013, ten-month-old Myalee went into her first surgery to remove a protruding lump on the left side of her neck that turned out to be a malignant tumor. She began her first of four rounds of four different types of chemo in November 2013. All in all, she had a total of seven surgeries. Myalee greets each day with a big smile, she is a happy, loving, imaginative, spunky and bossy little girl.
Will you support my efforts and help me grant Mya’s Big Wish?
