Every year, GISH Scavenger Hunt participants come together to “Change A Life,” uniting to make a profound difference in the lives of people facing extraordinary hardship. Over the years, Gishers have fought injustice, supported Rwandan genocide survivors and Syrian refugees, and cleared unexploded bombs to protect people in Laos. We’re proud of Gishers’ work in these Change A Life efforts, and every year we scour the globe to spotlight the one story or group that most deserves your focused attention.
This year, we’re celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Random Acts, Misha Collins’ charity and our sister organization. Random Acts strives to “conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time” by empowering people to help each other. Over the past decade, this 100% volunteer-run organization has taken on ambitious projects like building a children’s center for orphans in Haiti and helping Syrian refugees, but they also help in less high-profile ways that still mean the world to someone, like buying sneakers for a child experiencing homelessness. No matter the size of the project, the central purpose of Random Acts has always been to facilitate kind people helping one another. So in this moment of historic crisis, we want to pool our resources and build up the fund that empowers you to help those most in need in your communities: the General Fund.
Join us in celebrating the mission of Random Acts!
