Veronica Croucher, Team Logan
This August 3rd-4th I will be attempting to run one mile every hour for 24 consecutive hours in the Anytime Fitness 24 in 24 Challenge.
Last year a friend of mine posted that she is doing this event so I reached out. I fell immediately in love! I ran last year for team Jake. It was the most empowering experience ever! This even not only stole a piece of my heart but of my families. I have always believed in giving back and helping others but this is also teaching my daughter to always give back. My family asked me right after I finished last year if I will do this again and with no hesitation I said YES! What better way to spend 24 hours then with others who believe in the samething as you. The emotion finishing my last mile was filled with joyful tears knowing I was a small piece to helping Jake get his wish. This year I am lucky to run for team Logan! As we are all finding unique ways to raise money I decided that I will run two miles every hour. Help us all achieve our fundraising goals and more. These kids deserve it!
The challenge and beauty of this event has stolen my heart. Helping these families in a small way means the world!
Logan is a happy and rambunctious two and half year old with a smile that never ends! Last summer, after several weeks of fevers and hip pain, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. As a family, our world was shaken to the very core, but for Logan, his smile never faltered. He had his first surgery and chemotherapy treatment in July 2018, on his second birthday. On February 14, 2019, after six months of treatment, Logan was officially labeled “in remission.”
Will you support my efforts and help me grant Logan’s Big Wish?
