Did you know that 1.8 million [1.3 million–2.4 million] children (<15 years) are living with HIV and many do not have access to HIV treatment? That just does not sit well with me. So, I have decided to do something about it - this year I am participating in the Los Angeles Half Marathon as a KCA-charity runner.
I want to make sure that every child, adolescent, and adult living with or affected by HIV and AIDS has access to the treatment and care they need to lead a healthy life, free of stigma and isolation.
Co-founded by Alicia Keys, Keep a Child Alive (KCA) is a non-profit organization that has been on the forefront of the global AIDS crisis for the last 16 years. KCA works in the countries hardest hit by this epidemic - Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, and India - providing comprehensive HIV care, treatment and support to the most vulnerable, poor and marginalized communities.
Please join me in committing to an AIDS-free generation by making a donation today. Any amount will mean the world to those in need.
Thank you for your support!
