On September 30, 2014, Officer Jordan Corder , a motor officer with the Covina Police Department, was involved in a fatal collision with an SUV. The 28-year-old officer joined the Covina Police Department in 2007, then joined the traffic unit in May 2014. Jordan had established himself as an expert Traffic & DUI Investigator. This was truly his passion & the work he performed saved lives. In 2013 he was honored by MADD with the Century Award, for arresting more than 100 DUI drivers the previous calendar year.
Every year during National Police week in Washington DC, ODMP (Officer Down Memorial Page) puts on a Memorial 5K of which fundraising proceeds will go to their organization & C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors)
In 2016 Trevor & I participated in the National Police Week 5k with Jordan's parents Mark & Diane Corder in Washington, DC. Last year we were not able to attend but Trevor & I ran in the virtual race raising, thanks to so many of you, $1135 exceeding our goal!
This year we are thrilled to not only be attending NPW with the Corders, but running in honor of Jordan & all that we have lost but never forgotten.
Thank you in advance for your love & support in helping us reach our goal
Lety & Trevor
