Cancer is one of the biggest obstacles a person has to face. From the aggressive treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation, cancer is one of the scariest experiences a person can undergo. My relatives who have suffered from cancer have been through the harsh treatments and have faced the possibilty of death. The physical and mental battle that a person faces is a challenge that no one should go through alone.
With this, I want to contribute to those cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers by running 26.2 miles in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of Team Imerman Angels. By donating to Team Imerman Angels, you are providing an opportunity to make a difference for anyone seeking cancer support.
Imerman Angels is a 501(c)(3), not-for profit organization that provides personalized connections between cancer fighters and survivors ("Mentor Angels") as well as caregivers to caregivers so that no one faces cancer alone.
Your support allows Imerman Angels service to remain free of charge for individuals facing cancer around the world. With more than 10,000 Mentor Angels representing over 130 cancer types, they are able to make customized matches in all 50 states and more than 90 countries. As the need for their service continues to grow, charitable contributions are more important than ever before. It is the support of generous donors like you that allows Imerman Angels to remain the largest cancer community of its kind dedicated to one-on-one peer mentorship.
In 2019, Team Imerman Angels participants raised over $410,000 and created over 1,100 connections between those impacted by cancer and a Mentor Angel. To learn more about the Imerman Angels, click HERE.
