Hello! I’m Elizabeth Owens and one of my favorite hobbies is getting stronger. This year I’m going to put my love of lifting heavy things toward a good cause by participating in Pull for Pride on June 1st in Oakland!
Pull for Pride is a nationwide deadlift-only powerlifting competition that benefits the LGBTQ+ community by increasing awareness and fundraising for local charities. My upcoming event is raising money to support Trans Lifeline, an Oakland-based nonprofit whose mission is to “fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people” by providing services and support.
Athletes participating in Pull for Pride typically aim to raise a dollar for every pound they plan to deadlift—my goal for event day is to match or beat my personal record of 225 pounds.
If you would like to contribute to my campaign, please do so using the links on this page. 100% of your donation will go to Trans Lifeline.
Thank you for your support! We are all stronger together!
