Hello Friends and Family! Thank you for visiting our page!
AutismUp aims to provide opportunities for families impacted by autism to connect and learn while our children engage in a highly positive, safe, appropriately supportive, fun, and educational environment. Henry has directly benefited from sensory integration classes with a fabulous occupational therapist, adapted swim lessons, sensory-friendly opportunities to meet Santa, sensory-friendly playtimes at the Strong National Museum of Play, and the chance to attend summer camp like just like any other kid but with the supports he needs to be safe and successful! Without AutismUp these opportunities simply wouldn't exist.
With your assistance, AutismUp can continue to expand and enhance the programs and services that provide families like ours with help for today and hope for tomorrow.
We appreciate your continued support of this cause and our family!
With love and gratitude,
Aimee, Peter and Henry
The history of AutismUp:
It started simply in 2004 - four moms of children recently diagnosed with autism sharing information in a coffee shop. Today, AutismUp supports over 2,300 families in the Greater Rochester and surrounding areas, and is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, and their families. Our mission is to expand and enhance supported opportunities to improve quality of life for all ages and abilities. Autism lasts a lifetime - children with autism grow up and become adults with autism. AutismUp will be with families every step of their journey up, up & away. Will you please help? AutismUp will host KiteFlite 2019, our 7th annual, family-friendly, FUNdraising Parade, Festival & Expo, on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester, New York. What could be more fun? Would you like to be a part of it? All proceeds from KiteFlite 2019 remain local and benefit the expansion of AutismUp programs and services. Get involved by creating a kite parade march team with a fundraising goal and challenge your friends and family to help you #GoFlyaKite with a donation to your team. You'll earn prizes along the way that include commemorative event t-shirts, VIP event passes and other perks! Walk in the Kite Parade and celebrate the end of the fundraising challenge at Seabreeze on August 18th. Support reaches beyond our organization and throughout the community. We’d love to count on you to help us raise $100,000 to provide specialized resources for individuals with autism, further awareness, promote ongoing support opportunities, and help our children with autism maximize their potential. Thank you for lifting families with autism UP!
