This will be our 4th year riding together in the 5 Boro Bike Tour, and we are excited to be riding with our joy-filled and enthusiastic InTandem team!

I joined InTandem's 2019 Five Boro Bike Tour Team because I love riding my bike. I love how it makes me feel, both physically and mentally.
When I learned about InTandem and how they create opportunities for people that are blind, have low vision, or cannot ride independently due to other disabilities, I knew I had to be a part of this organization and offer as much help as I could.
This is InTandem's biggest fundraiser of the year, and your donation to my team will go directly to funding our programs, which are totally free for all riders!!

I have been tandeming with cyclists who have visual impairments for over twenty years, and the joy of riding together with someone who cannot ride on their own is just as exhilarating today as it was my first time. InTandem was the brainchild of our dear friend Artie Elefant, my tandem partner in many past 5 Boro Bike Tours. While Artie is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every InTandem activity and event.
InTandem has made great strides this year, hiring our first full-time executive director Matthew Nidek! In 2019 our tandem teams will ride in approximately 100 regular and special event rides throughout the New York metropolitan area. All of our programs are free due to the countless volunteer cyclists and the generosity of our donors. We continue to expand our fleet of bikes and are working on launching our first tandem bike location in Brooklyn. The 5 Boro Bike Tour is our signature fundraising event and will account for about two-thirds of our annual budget.
This year, we will have over 100 InTandem cyclists riding in the 5 Boro Bike Tour, including Artie’s son Matthew and more than a dozen of my amazing colleagues from Kepos Capital. I am so thankful for the generosity of my family and friends over InTandem’s six-year history. Hashim and I are very appreciative of any contribution you consider.
