WHO WILL YOU WALK FOR?
Mental illness affects everyone. 1 in 5 American adults personally struggle with mental health challenges. The other 4 very often struggle with the mental health issues that the people they care about are facing.
The theme of the road race this year is again, “Run for Every 1” and it is intended to raise awareness about mental illness and help to reduce the stigma which still is so often associated with mental health challenges.
If you explore the Gilead web site for the race you will see many moving testimonies from people who are participating in the race in recognition of the struggles of a particular friend or family member. You may have a similar story. Gail and I are participating in support of the many individuals who do not have close friends or family to support them but nonetheless need the help of a caring community.
We hope you’ll consider supporting us for this event. Your personal efforts, stories and financial contributions can make a tremendous difference. Thank you.
