For the 7th year in a row, Emso was going to send a team of runners to Kenya to run one of the toughest marathons in the world to raise money for Tusk. As an emerging markets asset manager, Emso feels strongly about supporting charities that are dedicated to helping the people in those markets. Emso has been supporting Tusk since 2012, and their fundraising activities have helped wildlife conservation, community, and environmental education projects.
Unfortunately, the Lewa Safari Marathon, which was due to take place in June 2020, was cancelled due to the spread of Covid-19. The team at Tusk has organized a virtual race to help fundraise for the vital programs that marathon proceeds would have ordinarily supported. Each year, over £500,000 is raised for key wildlife and community programs, and while the event won't be held at Lewa this year, the need for fundraising is more important than ever.
While the Emso team won't be running across the Lewa plains, we will instead be running in our local neighborhoods and parks throughout the month of June.
Your donation will empower the cause.
Our route will be inspired by Africa.
Together we will go further for Tusk.
