You know her. She sits next to you in sociology...she is one mat over in yoga...she serves you coffee every morning...she is your neighbor, your cousin, your best friend, your mother, your sister...or maybe she is you.
Domestic violence is a health epidemic:1 in 4 women experience domestic violence In the U.S., 20 people experience domestic violence every minute Women ages of 18-24 are most commonly abused by an intimate partner 1 in 3 female murder victims are killed by intimate partners
It does not have to be this way. We can save our friends and sisters. Through education and raising awareness, we can work to prevent and break the cycle of domestic violence.
Join Interval House on Sunday, October 6, as we walk for the many women who suffer in silence, and for the women who have been courageous to seek out help. Walk for someone you know or walk for yourself. Come as you are, or form a team of friends to help raise money for our cause.
Your registration fee ($25 adults/$10 students) includes our signature purple, "End Domestic Violence Now." t-shirt to wear while you walk.
