We decided to move to Ridgefield, CT back in 2016 - a decision that was easy, as we wanted to raise our daughter in a family-centered community. Since then, we have met so many incredible families, including the Langbergs. Rachel began a charity, the Silver Platter Foundation, following the untimely death of her sister from multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. Below is a brief description of the Silver Platter Foundation she founded:
"The Silver Platter Foundation provides goods and services to families affected by adult blood cancer with children living at home. We are here to help with food, transportation, housekeeping, school supplies, clothing, or any other everyday need. Whether you are a family seeking assistance or a donor looking to help, we want to hear from you."
Seby, Sarah and I are participating in the First Annual Silver Platter Foundation Walk for Families this October 14. We are asking our friends and family to help us reach our fundraising goal of $500 - any donated amount is greatly appreciated! The raised funds will go directly to this incredible foundation. Thank you for your time and help in our efforts to raise awareness and donations for the Silver Platter Foundation!
