Hi Friends and Family!
Thank you for visiting my page and for supporting Team Collier Strong. I am honored to be running the 2019 Boston Marathon for the Officer Sean A. Collier Memorial Fund.
The Officer Sean A. Collier Memorial Fund was established to honor the memory of Sean A. Collier who was killed in the line of duty by the Boston Marathon Bombers on April 18, 2013. The Memorial Fund is dedicated to honoring and remembering the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers in the United States. The Fund hopes to develop self-esteem in young people, provide educational opportunities and provide assistance to law enforcement families who have had an officer killed or injured in the line of duty.
For the last 8 years, I have had the good fortune to work alongside many great law enforcement officers in my role as a victim witness advocate. On a daily basis I witness firsthand how these courageous men and women tirelessly protect and serve their communities. I am constantly in awe of their ability to remain resilient in the face of trauma, chaos, adversity, criticism and scrutiny. However, what I’ve come to respect most about my law enforcement colleagues is their unwavering devotion to aid others.
I’ve learned that there are three common traits shared by “true-blue” police officers—grit, selflessness, and integrity. People who knew Sean personally have said he was brave, he was kind, and he had a “knack for earning people’s trust”. They say he protected everyone around him until the day he died. Having possessed these admirable traits and many others, it is no surprise that Sean Collier became a police officer.
Apart from being a police officer, Sean’s life was dedicated to volunteerism. His generosity and spirit reached far and wide. From the age of 16 until his death, Sean made weekly contributions to the Jimmy Fund. He also volunteered at the local youth development centers, helping underprivileged children, and at local homeless shelters.
We all have our own story and reason why we “run”. This year I run to honor the memory of Sean Collier and to continue the charitable giving that Sean did during his life. I run to support my “true-blue” heroes and heroines, and their families. Please join me by giving back and donating to the Officer Sean A. Collier Memorial Fund.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support and words of encouragement.

The mission of the Officer Sean A. Collier Memorial Fund is to foster connections between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Through community programming, people of all ages and walks of life will develop a deeper connection with, stronger support for, and better understanding of law enforcement officers and the role they play in the community.
The Officer Sean A Collier Memorial Fund is funded exclusively through the generosity of our supporters. The majority of our funding is raised during two annual events – the Boston Marathon and the Sean A Collier Memorial Golf Tournament. Throughout the year, the Fund is grateful to be the recipient of individual donations from the law enforcement community, supporters, and those who are simply inspired be Sean’s commitment to service and wish to help carry on his legacy.
The Fund will accept written grant proposals from local public police departments and non-profit groups providing mentorship, civic/service, athletic, recreational, enrichment and educational opportunities. The number of grants and the amount of each award will be determined on an ongoing basis each grant-making cycle, depending on available resources.
The Memorial Fund is a completely volunteer organization, and we rely on your donations to help make the public aware of the dangers faced by law enforcement officers and first responders in their jobs and the oath they took to run towards danger so that we might all remain safe.
