Thank you for considering a donation to Team Colleen. Colleen is 15 years old and was diagnosed just before her third birthday. She continues to make progress and works hard every day. Colleen loves roller coasters, anything Disney, YouTube, and especially her dog, Jewel. This past year she participated in Theater Club at The Janus School and this summer she was in the Fulton Opera House Summer Camp production of High School Musical Jr! We are so proud of her but also recognize that Autism will be a lifelong challenge.
The Autism Society of Berks County provides great opportunities for families right here in our community. Social skills classes, music therapy, yoga classes and monthly family events are just a few of the services they provide free of charge. In addition, their new podcasts, “Inspiration and Impact” help educate the community about the real world of autism. As the current Board President, I’ve come to realize the importance of the Autism Society of Berks County in assisting families in our community work their way through the complicated and often bewildering journey of an autism spectrum disorder.
All funds raised by the Help Solve the Puzzle: Walk for Autism Awareness stay in Berks County. Thanks again for your donation to this great organization!
Love, Maureen, Jim, Christopher, Colleen and Jewel
