HEIDI FYFFE, TEAM CHARLOTTE
This August 3rd-4th I will be attempting to run one mile every hour for 24 consecutive hours in the Anytime Fitness 24 in 24 Challenge.
My Why
People ask me why I want to go through 24 hours of pain. My reply is many children go through so many surgeries, painful procedures and they just keep smiling. I want to make a difference I want to help. Why not start here!! Excited to push my body and my mind to complete this challenge and HELP Charlotte get her wish.
Charlotte’s Story
Charlotte was born on August 13, 2013. Charlotte received her first echocardiogram, electrocardiogram and other testing when she was just three days old. She was in heart failure and had been born with Congenital Endocardial Cushion Defects. She underwent her first open heart surgery at 21 months old. She still has mitral valve regurgitation and stenosis which will eventually require more surgeries. She has also been diagnosed with Apraxia, Hypotonia, and most recently was diagnosed as having a genetic duplication on her 7th chromosome. Charlotte has experienced so much in her almost 6 years of life and remains an upbeat, caring, determined person.
Will you support my efforts and help me grant Charlotte’s Big Wish?
