JENNA GEIBEL, TEAM CARTER
This August 3rd-4th I will be attempting to run one mile every hour for 24 consecutive hours in the Anytime Fitness 24 in 24 Challenge.
This will be my 2nd year in a row taking on this event. Last year I joined 2 days before it took place because someone had dropped out. This year it’s a whole other story. Yes I was sore. Yes it was mentally changenging, but the 24in24 is so special. It helps these little fighters get their wishes. Any pain we go through is nothing compared to what they have been or are going through.
Carter is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia on July 27, 2018. He has been receiving outpatient treatment for his cancer at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for nearly nine months now, and he has remained positive throughout his entire journey. Carter's new normal consists mostly of playing with superhero figures, army guys, and Legos at home with me, his mom, as well as working on kindergarten readiness skills. Carter is simply an amazing, strong, inspiring little man, and he is without doubt my little superhero.
Will you support my efforts and help me grant Carter’s Big Wish?
