Team Carl Stewart + George A. Nardi (GAN) Memorial Fund was created by providers within BWFH Psychiatry Department to celebrate the life and work of two amazing individuals.
To celebrate the life of our co-worker Carl Stewart and all that he has contributed to Addiction Recovery Programs at BWFH. Carl ran the Evening Treatment Program at BWFH for 22 years up until his passing in December 2018. Carl is very much missed by his patients and staff.
To celebrate the life and legacy of George Nardi (best friend and high school classmate of Matthew Mosquera PGY3 Psychiatry resident at BWH). George tragically passed away from an opioid overdose February 2019. The GAN memorial fund is a donor advised fund directed towards ending the stigma associated with seeking help for substance use disorders, embracing recovery, and enhancing access to treatment.
All funds raised within Team Carl Stewart + GAN Fund will be donated to BWFH Addiction Recovery Fund.
