It‘s that time of year again!!! Polar plunge time!! This is our 5th year with Team Carden, who is celebrating their 10th year!! It was nearly six years ago, we had the honor of meeting the Carden family. Their son, Ryan, at the time was 4-years-old, and we had just given birth to our Tommy. Not only were the Cardens a wealth of knowledge and support for us newcomers to the world of raising a child with Down Syndrome, but they didn’t skip a beat into inviting us to join them to plunge into Lake Michigan! We couldn’t wait to be part of this amazing day!! And now here we are, years later and Tommy will soon be participating in these amazing programs to which we have helped raise money! To date, Team Carden has raised over $200,000 for Special Olympics Chicago, and we cant wait to raise more.
Please help us support the special athletes who are dearest to us and all of the Olympians of Special Olympics Chicago. Or even better, join us for the 2019 Chicago Polar Plunge on Sunday, March 3rd. Take the challenge and jump in Lake Michigan for Special Olympics Chicago! All are welcome to join us, whether you go knee deep, waist high, or take the full plunge.
All funds raised benefit the Special Olympics Chicago athletes, covering program costs such as transportation, sports equipment, team uniforms and food. Through your participation, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities and success.
The Nee family and Team Carden thank You in advance for your support!!!
