After four years of applying and getting rejected, this year, I have finally been accepted to run the Boston Marathon in April 2020!
Running Boston will be my 2nd World Marathon. My ultimate goal is to complete the Abbott World Marathon Majors, and although running Boston will get me closer to that goal, it signifies a lot more... it is a dream come true!
Boston is a city that has demonstrated the utmost strength, unity, and empathy during the hardest of times. It is a city that continues to evolve and welcome new ideas and people. It is the city that I call home.
Besides running, many of you know I have a passion for public education. This year, I will be raising money for the Brookline Education Foundation (BEF), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Brookline’s commitment to excellence in public education.
My goal is to learn from BEF’s exemplary work as one of the largest and most innovative local education funds in Massachusetts and then apply it to communities in greater need. As a public school alumna myself, I strongly believe every child deserves to have access to quality public education, regardless of where they live.
I kindly ask that you help me reach my fundraising goal by clicking the “Donate” button above. Anything you are able to contribute is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your contribution!
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
