I'm extremely excited to announce my participation in the 2020 Boston Marathon! It has been a goal of mine since I moved to Boston back in 2007 to some day run down Boylston Street and cross that finish line. As a member of Team Brookline I will be helping to raise funds for the amazing people at the Brookline Center for Community Mental Health.
Donations will support an increasingly ugrent need in the Brookline community to access mental health care. The Center has the ability to fill crucial gaps in providing care for children, adults, and eldrers. There is still much work to be done to overcome barriers and reach more people in need. The Center and I appreciate your support. Please join the cause by donating what you can to make sure those in need of mental health assistance get the attention they deserve. I'm cherishing the opportunity to complete my second marathon. I was lucky enough to run the 2018 Chicago Marathon. It was a tremendously rewarding experiance from start to finish. However, this time around over the next 5 months I will be training through the winter in Boston rather than the summer. I urge you all to donate and follow my training on social media over the coming months. That way when you see me running through one of our Nor'easters you know i'm doing it for each and every donation! For those of you that know me well know that I have a real dislike for the cold so PLEASE keep the donations coming to keep me running!
I feel very lucky this time around to have a team to train with. I hope to support them as much as they will support me. Your donations are greatly appreciated by Team Brookline.
Team Brookline, the Town of Brookline's official Boston Marathon Team, is a committed group of adult runners who train together for the Boston Marathon while raising funds for five partner charities that play an integral role in strengthening and enriching our community: The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health, Brookline Education Foundation, Brookline Library Foundation, Brookline Symphony Orchestra, and Brookline Teen Center.
