I will be running my first Chicago Half Marathon in September. However, I'm not running just to finish a race. I want to run for my family members, friends and women who have survived and for those who have had their lives taken too soon because of breast cancer. It is something that hits home for me, which is why I've decided to run on team Bright Pink. Their mission is to target the 52 million women between the ages of 18-45 by empowering them to live proactively at a young age and to never stop fighting.
13.1 miles is nothing compared to the battle that women and families everywhere have in the fight against breast cancer.
I have a minimum fundraising goal of $500, but it is my hope to go beyond this. Even the smallest donation counts and your support means the world to me.
Big or small, let's save them all!
