Team Bridget will be joining CBTF for the Long Island Walk agin this year. Bridget was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 7th grade. At that time she received two surgeries for its removal. After a year of follow up MRI‘s the doctors noticed another abnomality and another year later, Bridget was back in the hospital receiving her third surgery. Bridget has since become extremely invested in the medical and research communities. She has performed her own research on the lack of National Cancer Institute funding towards pediatric brain tumors and she plans to a career in Neurosurgery. None of these dreams would be possible without her involvement with the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. CBTF has created an amazing survivor community that has helped Bridget and her family to cope with what has happened.
Walk, run, and form teams to raise money for the whole family – survivors, siblings and parents – impacted by a childhood brain tumor. Help CBTF provide them with the programs and resources they need for their journey. Enjoy a pre-walk fitness warm up, refreshments, music and fun activities for all ages!
