Our son Brandon was diagnosed with JDM at age 2 in 2013. He is currently 7 and still undergoing treatment with no remission as of yet. JDM is a rare and life threatening autoimmune disease which causes damaging inflammation in the muscles, blood vessels and skin. This results in muscle weakness, pain and chronic fatigue as well as skin issues. His treatment has consisted of high doses of steroids, weekly chemo shots, other assorted immunosuppressant drugs, as well as monthly IVIG infusions. Despite there being available treatments with varying effectiveness, THERE IS NO CURE and remission is a hope but not a certainty.
When we walk in Scarsdale this fall we will be raising funds to further research for treatment and an eventual cure. Please consider sponsoring us! Even the smallest donation helps. You can also support us by joining our Crowdrise team and getting others to sponsor you as you walk with us in October . Please help us give Brandon and other children with this rare disease a chance at a healthy and disease free life. Thank you!

All proceeds benefit Cure JM Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to finding a cure for Juvenile Myositis, a life-threatening disease which causes the body’s own immune system to attack healthy cells and tissues. It can affect virtually any system of the body, the heart, lungs, skin, muscles, and more. And there is no cure....YET!
But with support from friends and family like you, we’re getting closer to better treatments and a cure.
Your support now will keep that momentum going.
