Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! Thank you to each and everyone of you all who have supported me on this cause for 6 amazing years. And a early thank you to you all who will be joining the fight with me this summer!
I am back again for Year 6 with BvB Dallas and Team Blonde!
I won't be lacing my cleats up again (you're welcome Mom & Dad #kneeprobs), so i'll be coaching the Blondes for year #2!
In the past 11 years we have raised over $4 MILLION Dollars for Alzheimer's Research and care. For year 12 we are determined to raise over $650,000! My personal goal is to raise $3,000 - and I need your help, again!
I now coach for my sweet cousin, Lori, who suffered from this devestating disease and passed in 2015.
Alz isn't fun. It isn't pretty. It doesn't ask permission. And it doesn't have a cure.
Please consider donating to help us fight for those who cannot remember!!
EVENT DATE: AUG 10, 2019
Location: Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas
BvB Dallas is a young-professional organization that hosts a powder-puff football game for a day of fun, fellowship, philanthropy and enjoyment as a way of raising money for Alzheimer’s research and awareness. Founded by sisters whose father was afflicted by Alzheimer’s, BvB is a personal way for young professionals across the country to raise awareness, funds and support to TACKLE ALZHEIMER'S FOREVER.
UNT Health Science Center:
BvB is excited to announce a new beneficiary in UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Our funds will support research investigating hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. This research study will examine the hypothesis that hyperbaric oxygen therapy reverses brain deficits associated with Alzheimer’s disease by reducing neuroinflammation, boosting antioxidant defenses, and improving synaptic health.
Center for BrainHealth:
BvB will be providing funding for The Center for BrainHealth’s Discovery Group, a strength-based program aiming to optimize the abilities of individuals with early stage Alzheimer’s disease. BvB’s contribution will also support additional programming that the Center for BrainHealth offers: targeted education for caregivers, community workshops, and professional seminars that are delivered throughout the community for a broader impact.
The Senior Source:
For a second year, BvB will support two programs at The Senior Source. Through the Senior Companion Program, specially trained volunteers are placed in the homes of older adults to provide personal assistance as well as respite care for the family caregiver. The Caregiver Support Program provides assistance through professional expertise and supportive counseling to help caregivers through the challenges they face in caring for aging loved ones. This program pays particular attention to issues of caregiver stress and burnout. Additionally, the Caregiver Support Program delivers education by hosting seminars in Dallas and Collin counties.
The 12th Annual BvB Dallas Powder-Puff Football Game will be held at the Cotton Bowl at Fair Park on Saturday, August 10th. Kick-Off will be held at 7:30pm and the after-party will be held on the front steps of the stadium immediately following the game. We hope to see you there!
Your $25 donation or more to BvB Dallas gains your entrance to the game and after-party. There are no physical tickets. All donors' names will be held at will-call on Game Day at the stadium.
