This August 3rd-4th I will be attempting to run one mile every hour for 24 consecutive hours in the Anytime Fitness 24 in 24 Challenge.
In 2017 my cousin was one of the wish kids, but i was unable to participate. In 2018 they opened the challenge up to the public and i was able to be a challenger for a little boy name Jake. I do this not only for the kids who suffer so much within 24 hours on a daily basis, but also for the families of the wish kiddos. Participating in 2019 was so rewarding and touching to see the joy that these kids have when that weekend is dedicated to them. Raising money for these kiddos to actually go out and have a great time is the best thing i have ever done. These kids deserve to be kids and not worry about what they are going through. The smiles, the laughter, the hugs, the running buddies, the motivation.. that Is my WHY.
Ayden was born on September 6, 2013 and he was transferred to the NICU due to the lack of oxygen. He has suffered with a number of medical issues including PEG, Cystic Fibrosis, GURD, GI disorder, MRSA with viral meningitis, CDIFF, and a Blood Clot Disorder. Additionally, Ayden battles Hypohydronic Ectodermal Dysplasia (HED). This condition causes Ayden to lack sweat glands, tear ducts, teeth, a voice, hair, and fingernails. It has also caused lung and breathing issues, and deterioration of the lining of his stomach.
Will you support my efforts and help me grant Ayden’s Big Wish?
