Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) is a local non-profit that has been providing sailing experiences on the Chesapeake Bay for people with physical and cognitive disabilities, and children from at risk communities for 29 years.
This year I will be joining April Schrock as we compete in a sailing race in Annapolis to raise funds for CRAB. We will be competing against 5 other modified saliboats skippered by CRAB guests in the CRAB cup. April will be our skipper.
It has been an honor and wonderful to volunteer for CRAB as a skipper for many years. Watching the faces of our guests and their caregivers as the freedom of sailing, or the competitiveness of racing, washes over them. It is truly rewarding.
By supporting Team April and Dan your generosity will support an organization that puts huge smiles on the faces of people with all types of disabilities, recovering warriors, and children living in at-risk environments. CRAB guests rarely expect to learn how to sail, much less be on Chesapeake Bay even though many live only blocks away. I thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
