I am writing today seeking your support for the Rainforest Biodiversity Group (RBG). On May 19th, I am going to be counting birds as part of Rainforest Biodiversity Groups’ Annual Bird-A-Thon.
RBG’s Bird-A-Thon helps fund our Small Grant program which provides direct grants to non-government organizations (NGOs) or researchers to conserve and study biodiversity.
Last year RBG supported a project that provided infrastructure support for Albergue el Socorro Reserve, a family run reserve in the Costa Rican Bird Route. Our support is helping the Miranda family continue to protect habitat for endangered bird species like the Great Green Macaw as well panthers, sloths, monkeys, and tree frogs. This year, RBG will supporting nest monitoring of the endangered Great Green Macaw in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Hurricane Otto destroyed significant habitat for this species in November of 2016 and new nesting surveys are needed. '
Will you support me in helping RBG and our Small Grant program by sponsoring me with a donation for the Bird-a-thon? I am trying to raise $2,000 this year. I am hoping you will be willing to help me out. If you donate at least $50 you'll be eligible to receive a complimentary Bird-a-thon T-shirt. Please let me know if you will make a pledge this year. Alternatively, you can go directly to RBG’s CrowdRise site and donate to my page, or donate directly to RBG via paypal using email@example.com. Thanks for your gracious support.
