This team is in honor of my beautiful rainbow baby girl, Amina Flora-Rai Jackson. In January of 2018, Walter and I found out that we were carrying a little bundle of joy and we were so excited to be a first time parents. We began picturing the future and all the wonderful things that our little family would enjoy and experience together, but unfortunately, 2 weeks later we miscarried. Even though it was a short period of time, the amount of love and joy that we felt was so fullfilling. This made losing our baby even more devestating and difficult to overcome than we could have ever imagined. Eight months of healing later, in September of 2018, we found out that I was carrying for the second time. As happy as we wanted to be, I could not, and would not allow myself to really experience those first few months of joy from the fear and anxiety of miscarrying again. Once we got over the first trimester "hurdle", we really began to embrace my pregnancy and all the wonderful moments that came with it. We were always celebrating the little personal victories of making it through another week, and couldn't wait to meet our little girl. On May 30th, 2018, we gave birth to a healthy 6lb 13oz baby Amina, who has changed our lives forever. She is our miracle, our motivation, and our best accomplishment.
