We can't beleive this is our TENTH annual Walk and Roll for PWS!! It seems like only yesterday that Aedan was that teeny tiny little guy, and we had our first walk at Middletown High School in 2011. In celebration of our tenth walk, we are having this year's walk at a very special location! The Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, CT! Come join us in celebrating our kiddos who work so hard every day. Prader-Willi syndrome is a debilitating rare genetic condition that affects all aspects of a person's life. Our children must work extremely hard for even the simplest milestones, but never say never to a child with PWS. Our walk was created to support these amazing children and their families with needs that range from the day to day, to funding research to help make that day to day a little (or some days ALOT) easier. So much has changed in the world of PWS in the last 10 years. There are currently MANY extremely promising clinical trials underway, and I would like to think that our walk and all of you who have supported it have helped, even in a small way, to help make that happen.
PLEASE NOTE: This year you MUST register if you will be attending, we are required to give the zoo a head count a week before the event. Wristbands will be handed out the morning of, and no extra wristbands will be available the day of the event.
