For a fifth consecutive year, I have been selected to represent an amazing organization on Marathon Monday. I can’t thank the TB12 Foundation enough for giving me an opportunity to run my 8th Boston Marathon. I am beyond excited to be a member of the TB12 Foundation's Marathon Team for a second consecutive year. It is truly an honor to represent TB12 over the next 6 months.
It's hard to believe that the 2020 Boston Marathon will be my 8th!!! I remember thinking how cool it would be to run Boston once and here I am again.
Most of my childhood was spent on athletic fields. Sports was always my outlet. My parents would truck me around from baseball, to soccer, to basketball, to ice skating as a child. I had many great coaches and mentors along the way, but training back then wasn't as much of a priority as it is today. There wasn't a focus on the food we put into our bodies, the amount of sleep we got each night, and the importance of staying hydrated. I want to make sure that the young athletes of today have the chance to realize their full athletic potential.
I hope to help spread the word of the TB12 Foundation's mission to maximize the health, well-being, and athletic potential of young American amateur athletes by providing free access to the best available post-injury rehabilitation and performance enhancement services.
Over the last four years, with your support, I have raised $54,802. This year, I have set a lofty fundraising goal of $15,000. I have little doubt that I will be able to reach my goal due to the outpouring of generosity I've received from family, friends, colleagues and even strangers over the last four years.
I hope you follow along with my journey this year. Training in the cold New England winter will be worth it when I finally have the chance to cross the historic Boston Marathon finish line once again on April 20, 2020!
I have some exciting fundraising ideas so hopefully, you will be part of my 2020 journey!!
As the greatest quarterback in NFL history, Tom Brady says, ”Let’s Goooooooooooo!!!”
Thanks again for your continued support.
