Thanks so much for visiting the site to donate!!! I'll be jumping into the frigid waters of Lake Michigan on Sunday March 3rd to help raise money for the Chicago area Special Olympics. My son Michael, daughter Kelly, and a few other brave souls will also be joining me with bright green wigs.
The Chicago Polar Plunge is one of many events in Chicago that raise funds to support the Special Olympics Chicago program. Funds raised help subsidize training, travel, uniforms, and awards. I've been involved in a rigorous training regimen like daily dips in a bath tub full of ice and last week I shoveled all the snow while wearing just a speedo and sandals.
My personal goal is $2,000 and if we hit that goal I'll go completely underwater- done it the past 7 years!!! $2,500 and I'll do the above wearing a bright green speedo- that should clear the beach. Elvis already donated $100- he loves the Polar Plunge. Go figure. A $100 donation is less that 30 cents per day when annualized- and any donation is tax deductible. As an added bonus, all contributors receive an action photo to commemorate the momentous occasion. Thank you in advance for your generous donation!!!
PS- If anyone wishes to come down and join me on the 3rd, I'll provide the fabulous green wig- just register on-line and join the 'Taylor's Green Team'.
