Los Angeles is one of many struggling cities in California. It's also the city where I grew up, and where most of my family still lives. My dad is a senior and is in the high-risk category for COVID-19.
One big reason I left the state was the extremely high taxes. Today those taxes have deprived millions of their ability to save money and create a safety net for when disasters like the COVID-19 crisis strike.
Those taxes have also been responsible for putting tens of thousands of people out of their homes, forcing them to live homeless.
I am fighting to end these taxes, but I'm not going to let people starve to death while this long battle continues. I am fundraising for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to help keep this city alive.
As a #WeFeedLA supporter, I am making a commitment to raise funds to provide nutritious meals to our neighbors in need. Please help me reach my goal by making a contribution to my fundraiser.
We are sure you understand that this pandemic is likely to hit the low-income communities, especially the homeless, seniors and families with children.
I invite you to join me in making a difference in our community.
