From high school to college and beyond, WORK has helped shape me into the person I am today. I obtained a college degree and currently work as a chemist. This is an opportunity that I never would have imagined eight years ago when I was suffering from a facial tumor in a rough part of Haiti. Though a majority of the young men that I grew up with did not obtain the same opportunities, this is a statistic that we are working to change. I participated in the run across Haiti 5 years ago and I look forward to participating again this year. I will be dedicating every step to the Haitian families and kids, with hopes that they someday receive the same opportunities that I did.
