Please join me in supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation. I am honored to raise money for this great organization and swim a 5K across Tampa Bay on January 13, 2019. The water temperature is typically in the mid 50s at swim time. Sounds like a can’t miss blast, doesn’t it?
Well, it is for a truly amazing cause.
Both before and after September 11, 2001, the Navy SEALs have constantly put themselves in harms way, so that we may maintain the very freedoms we enjoy everyday. As a graduate of US Army Ranger School Class 08-95 and a ten-year veteran of the US Army, I had an opportunity to know, train, and work with several members of this great organization. They go to work everyday for a noble purpose, for a love of this Nation, and for the love of their buddies on their right and their left.
Unfortunately, not all return home. That is where the Navy SEAL foundation steps in to help. As of September 2015, the Foundation is supporting 98 families, 90 children, and 69 surviving spouses of fallen SEAL team members. Ninety-five cents of every dollar raised goes directly to programs or is saved for future use, and the Foundation is a four-star rated on charity navigator.
Whether thru my campaign, someone else’s, or a direct donation to the Foundation, please consider a donation of whatever means possible to this great organization.
Thanks for taking a look at my page.
P.S. In honor of this year's Army Navy Game, I changed my goal to a higher and more applicable number!
