My name is Matthew McGrath and I am a member of the Take Action Club at my school. I will be in 4th grade this year and our summer challenge is to raise money for a non-profit that we care about. I have decided to raise money for the Connecticut Fund for the Environment/Save the Sound. One of my favorite summer memories is visiting my Grandma Nancy and taking the ferry to Island Beach to swim in the Sound where my father used to swim as a kid.
I care deeply about the environment and all living creatures. I know that in order to have a clean and healthy environment here in CT and around the world, we must all work together. I am thankful for the efforts of Save the Sound and ask that you support them in their mission to protect and improve the land, air and water of CT and Long Island Sound. I will be giving flowers to my neighbors and collecting their recyclables to raise money for this campaign. If we all take action, we can change the world.
