The mission of Tunnel to Towers is to honor and support the military and first responders and since Sgt. Chesna was both a member of the military having served in Iraq and Afghanistan and a police officer, Tunnel to Towers is honored to actively support his family in the wake of this tragedy.
Tunnel to Towers is taking this step because it recognizes that following the loss of a first responder in the line of duty it is vital to provide reassurance to the surviving spouse and children that their home is secure that there will be no need for them to move and leave behind everything that is important to them as they face the future.
Since the inception of its Fallen First Responder Home Program, Tunnel to Towers has provided $7 million in mortgage payments to support the families of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. To date, these homes have been paid off everywhere from Ohio to Florida to Iowa to Pennsylvania to Texas.
Your generosity and support enables us to continue to provide the help the families of our veterans and first responders so desperately need.
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower Foundation's mission is to honor the sacrifice of Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. Best known for its annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk NYC event, which attracts over 30,000 participants, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors and supports our first responders and service members who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
