The Wisconsin Wing received this T-34A Mentor as a donation from a
local pilot and aviation enthusiast. The plane has not flown for over 27
years and needs to be returned to flying condition. The original target completion date was summer 2018, but the additional restoration required due to storage deterioration has pushed the completion into 2019. Requirements include a complete engine overhaul, a complete overhaul of the propeller assembly, FAA AD Spar modifications, and new radios and instruments. The total restoration is expected to top $100,000; nearly $30,000 higher than original estimates. Once restored, the Wing plans to include the T-34 in its rides program.
