I began volunteering for Blue Water Surrender in 2019. I had moved to a nursing home in the Florida Keys a few months before, and I needed to regain a sense of purpose in my life. I had made friends with one member and worked with her on fundraising and computer tasks. It was wonderful to know that I could help children thousands of miles away in Guatemala with the things I was doing here in Florida. Then I met Gail Gordon, the founder, and we started working on writing projects. I proofread newsletters and other things, helping her get the word out to everyone. I have such a deep sense of camaraderie with everyone I've some to know in Blue Water Surrender. We are in the community, but we form a community as well of people dedicated to service. I'm helping to save children who might otherwise be abandoned and abused, but Blue Water Surrender is also saving me by giving me a chance too serve them & the children with my skills and my heart. It's a treasure to me to be able to contribute to other people in meaningful ways, and Blue Water Surrender lifted me up to a greater purpose. Glory to God!
Please join me in supporting the hands & heart of God and give generously to these vulnerable children.
