By the end of 4th grade, African American and low income students are 2 years behind grade level. By 12th grade they are 4 years behind. Due to COVID-19’s interruption to the school year, students will matriculate to a higher grade but will lack the knowledge to keep up with the curriculum for their new grade level. If this is not addressed, these disadvantages can lead to a lifetime of accumulating inequalities.
We need your help. The HAVE Foundation would like to offer tuition free scholarships to Sylvan Learning Center’s 6 week Virtual Summer Camp. Sylvan has agreed to partner with HAVE, still this reduced cost is more than many families can afford. Tuition for reading and math is $1600 per child. Tuition for reading or math is $800 per child. We are asking you to support this effort by making a tax-deductible donation that will have a lasting impact on the trajectory of these children. With your help, these students can receive the support they need and deserve.
