In 2017 I competed in the Lost Lake Run in Seward, AK, trail running 15.75 miles and raising over $400 for Cystic Fibrosis patients in the state of Alaska. This race was one of the most humble experiences I have been a part of - every step of the almost 16 miles of trail we ran was for someone in Alaska that is impacted by Cystic Fibrosis, whether directly or through a loved one. Pushing yourself to handle 16 miles of slippery mud through the cold, pouring rain, was a reminder of what life is like everyday for those suffering from CF.
This year on August 25, 2018 I will again be running those 16 miles through slippery bear country, and have the goal of raising another $400 to directly benefit Cystic Fibrosis patients in the state I now call home. Please consider donating to those that don't have the chance to run this race, and if for nothing else, to see me run for a ridiculously long amount of time and devour some kit-kats at the finish line.
