Hey Everyone I'm back!!!! I'm fundraising for a group near and dear to my heart, Running for Rescues. All of you that know me, know how much animals mean to me. I love working with animals which lead me to become a veterinary technician. I enjoy helping them which is my I presued my veterinary technician speaicalty in emergency and critical care. I've decided that one specialty isn't enough and this year I am applying for my next specialty in exotics.
When I first fundraised for Running for Rescues I had just finished my 1st 1/2 marathon. I thought what better way to help animals and help myself. I have raced more 1/2 marathons and even completed my first duathlon and winning first in my age group. I fundraised over $1000 dollars for Running for Rescues.
Last year was a difficult year for me I had to put my training on hold to study for my emergency and critical care exam. I couldn't balance the studying and training. The good news is I passed my exam the bad news is I gained 15lbs. But this year I'm BACK!!! And better than ever!!! I've decided to take on a trialthon!!! I am swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles and running 13.1 at Ironman Eagleman!! I will swim, bike and run for a purpose and that purpose is animals in need.
Running for Rescues is a 501c non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of shelter animals around the country. They provide financial aid to organizations trying to cover shots, food, vet bills and more. They help all animals in need, dogs, cats, horses, birds, ferrets, rabbits, and more.
PLEASE follow my journey as I tackle 70.3 miles of swimming, biking and running. PLEASE donate to my cause to help animals need. All creatures great and small.
