Fall can be a tough time of year for families living paycheck to paycheck. This fall will prove to be challenging for even more families as COVID-19 continues to financially impact more than a million people in our state. Many children will be learning from home and missing out on school lunch programs, which will further impact family budgets.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our state saw the need for food assistance double from about 850,000 people in a typical month to 1.6 million people, and is forecasted to grow with the number of food-insecure people reaching more than 2 million people before the crisis begins to subside.
That’s why your involvement in Food Frenzy is so important! Through your support, we're able to help get nutritious food into the communities that need it most.
