We are so excited to be raising money to benefit Food Lifeline. Thank you in advance for helping us make a difference in our community.
Food Lifeline’s mission is to end hunger in Western Washington. They source surplus food from farmers, manufacturers, grocery stores, and restaurants and provide the food to 300 food banks, shelters, and meal programs across Western Washington.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, WA state saw the need for food assistance double from about 850,000 people in a typical month to 1.6 million people as a result of the economic hardship caused by the pandemic. And this number is forecasted to grow with the number of food-insecure people reaching more than 2 million people before the crisis begins to subside.
Through your support, Food Lifeline is able to get nutritious food into the communities that need it most, helping to relieve some of the financial burden and stress faced by many families this time of year as well as supporting those through the economic hardship brought on by COVID-19.
