Hi, I'm Emily. As a girl who wants to become an engineer in the future, becoming involved in the STEM field can be intimidating. Sometimes it feels like your male peers just know more than you do about building or coding in general which can be discouraging when you feel like you're falling behind.
I'M SWEATING FOR CHANGE
To show you how much I care about Girls Who Code, an organization helping to close the gender gap in technology, I'm going to sweat for good. For every $3 donated, I will do a burpee on June 13th. I'm willing to do a lot of them to support this cause, so please help me by donating and sharing this with family and friends.
WHY GIRLS WHO CODE
I'm supporting Girls Who Code because I believe in their mission to close the gender gap in knowledge of technology so that girls like me can go on to act on our passion for any STEM field we choose and turn it into our career.
I'm partnering with Positive Tracks, an organization that teaches young people who to sweat for good. In addition to supporting me and my effort, they will be matching dontions up to $100 for Girls Who Code. They have also allowed me to use their GoFundMe site to gather donations. All dollars donated here will go to Girls Who Code.
