Swarthmore Town Center is a charitable non-profit organization focused on making the downtown an exciting place to live, shop, and invest. Our initiatives include community events such as the Swarthmore Farmers Market, Thursday Night Live, Swarthmore Makers Market, and Home for the Holidays. Since the closure of all non-essential businesses in mid-March, we’ve remained committed to supporting our downtown small businesses through this difficult crisis.
Recently, Swarthmore Town Center has worked closely with Borough Council on ways public spaces can help small businesses expand their operations. As reported in The Swarthmorean, Council approved a measure for the creation of temporary parklets. With summer approaching, parklets would provide the space needed for restaurants to offer socially distanced, outdoor dining options such as traditional table service or "grab and sit."
We have partnered with the Swarthmore Horticultural Society to install attractive and inviting spaces, and we are looking to the community to help us fund the parklets and other beatification efforts in town.
Thank you for donating to Swarthmore Town Center’s Parklet Project. Please share this campaign with your friends and neighbors. TOGETHER WE WILL SEE IT THROUGH!
