The Suwannee River Voyage (SRV) is a canoe trip that will begin on April 2, 2020 at Kingfisher Landing in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge near Folkston, Georgia. The planned route will follow 100 of the 120 miles of water trails in the Okefenokee. After nine days in the refuge, the route will leave from Stephen C. Foster State Park and follow the Suwannee River for 242 miles to the Gulf of Mexico.
The Suwannee River Voyage will cover 342 miles of water. The goal is to raise a total of $25,000. The voyage is self-funded by the on-the-water team of Gary and Linda De Kock from Grand Rapids, MI, so all sponsorship donations go directly to benefit Water For People (WFP). WFP was established by the American Water Works Association in 1991 and is a Charity of Choice of the Water Environment Federation.
