For over 40 years, Alzheimer’s Family Center has provided essential adult day health care services to persons with dementia, serving as a lifeline for families challenged by caring for a memory-impaired loved one. With the coronavirus pandemic, we have had to suspend on-site services. But we continue to be a lifeline for seniors who are the most vulnerable during this critical time. Our staff is conducting a variety of brain-engaging videoconference activities daily to combat loneliness, foster socialization and help maintain cognition. But many of our families lack tablets or laptop computers to access these services, or need to learn how to use them. Help us purchase the technology and comfort items to help our seniors cope with social isolation and loneliness. Teddy bears, robotic pets and dolls can help nurture our seniors and maintain emotional connections that are so critical during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our Board of Directors is so committed to our cause that thay have pledged to match up to $10,000 of our overall goal!!! That means your donation will go twice as far in helping us sustain our seniors, many of whom will be the last to resume a normal life because they are so high risk.
Please help us continue to be a lifeline. Donate today!
