I have had the privilege of running the Marine Corps Marathon with Ainsley's Angels twice in the last three years. In 2016, I ran solo, not trusting my ability to help an athlete rider reach their goal of becoming a marathoner, but still raising awareness of the mission of Ainsley's Angels along the course. In 2018, as a member of Team Hunter, I had the ultimate pleasure of seeing my daughter become a marathoner. At that point, I said I was done with marathons. But my love for this organization and for my Ainsley's Angels family, especially one little man who wants to become a marathoner, is just too great to stop now. As a result, I plan to run the 43rd annual Marine Corps Marathon in October, 2019, supporting Southeast NC's very own TEAM CONNOR, to raise funds for this AAmazing organization and share our mission of inclusion on the streets of our nation's capitol,. Fifty percent of any funds raised over my goal will go to benefit our local SENC Ainsley's Angels ambassadorship. I appreciate your help in promoting our cause.
In addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events, Ainsley's Angels of America aims to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life. WE are super excited to excute our mission at the Marine Corps Marathon as an offical charity partner this October!
