Breast cancer awareness is something near and dear to all three of us as we are all breast cancer survivors.

We are ALL surviving and thriving. We chose to FIGHT and LIVE. Most importantly we ALL benefited from early detection. There are many different kinds of breast cancer. There is one moment in this journey that changed our lives forever. When you get the phone call and on the other end you hear…. “you have cancer” That is when you make the choice to fight.
Girls Gone Rx is an all-female competition that started with the idea of getting women together to benefit a great cause: breast cancer awareness. All funds raised go to Bright Pink, a 503(c) nonprofit dedicated to empowering young women to take control of their health for breast cancer prevention and early detection. By helping us raise money for Bright Pink, you can provide women across the country with free educational resources for reducing their risk. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer The three of us are doing this competition to prove to ourselves we can. We want to promote breast cancer awareness, and the importance of early detection. Exercise is so important when it comes to cancer. Engaging in regular exercise is good for you for many reasons, and one of them is because it has been shown to lower your risk of getting breast cancer. We hope to empower others that might be going through this journey that it will be ok. That health and wellness all the way through and beyond is key. We are in awe of all the fellow competitors that figured out this exercise thing at a young age. We hope to prove to others in our age group that it is never too late to start. CrossFit saved all of our lives in one way or another, and we are excited to be part of this event.
